Moriage Dragon Vase, porcelain, 6 1/2" tall, pink, lustre-glazed with gold trim, decorated with a charcoal gray moriage dragon. The dragon is highlighted with pink, blue and white and has a picture of the U.S. Capitol building in Washington D.C. in its center. This is an old Washington D.C. souvenir piece, beautifully made in porcelain with incredible soft pink lustre glaze over which the moriage dragon plays around the entire circumference of the vase. In the center front is the "cameo" picture of the United States Capital. The vase has a lot going on....interior is soft white with shiny glaze, pink lustre glaze is subtle with embossed ribbon running around neck (factory done under-the glaze mark above dragon tail). Hand painted gold edge with drips in between is in good shape; dragon is colorful and intricate. Piece presents beautifully--nice condition for its age. Unusual piece for the vintage souvenir collector.
