Stoneware Mug, Designed by Mara - Mexico. This beautiful piece of stoneware art is 5 3/4" tall. Mara is an accomplished sculptor, painter and ceramicist who studied engraving with the famous artist Alfredo Zalce. She also studied art in London and went on to study with the Italian ceramicist, Bruno Terese, in Italy. She has had numerous expeditions of her original stoneware pieces in Europe, the U.S. and Mexico. This piece, as are all her mugs, is fired twice at high temperature and finished by hand with a lead-free glaze. It is a work of art for the table. There is a pinhead sized manufacturer-done prick. it is in excellent condition. This mug currently sells for $36.95. i
