Trinket Box, Avon, Handcrafted in Brazil 1978, Ceramic Mallard Duck. This trinket box duck is over 30 years old. It is approximately 8 1/4 inches long, 3 1/2 inches wide and 4 inches tall with the lid on. On the bottom it says: "Handcrafted in Brazil exclusively for Avon Products Inc. May 1978 75088". The writing is handwritten in cursive, and it looks like the glaze is over the top of the writing. This piece is in wonderful condition for being so old. The only issues are two minute paint flakes on the feathers. They are about 1/2 the size of a pin head. Otherwise there are no cracks, chips, or age crazing, and it still has a complete foil tag on the bottom. |
