Rare Set of 3 Geese Wallpockets, Vintage, Made in Occupied Japan. The largest goose in this hard-to-find set measures 10 3/4" long and 9" high. The second is 9 1/2" long and 7" high and the third is 7 3/4" long by 5" high. They are painted in beautiful vivid colors and each has two holes in the back for hanging and an opening in the top for the flowers. (See photographs). They have crazing due to their age but there are no cracks or chips. Very good condition and each is marked "Made in Occupied Japan". In addition, one has the remnants of the old "Hales Brothers" label. (Hales was a department store in San Francisco and Oakland during the 40's and 50's). |
