Candy Dish, Santa Anita Ware, R-100. This rare dish is 8 1/2" by 5 1/2". It is a leaf with a yellow squash at one end. This is a hard-to-find item. Other than a tiny little discoloration under the glaze on the inside bottom of the dish, it is in very good vintage condition. It is marked "Santa Anita Ware Calif R-100".

Rare Vintage Plate, Santa Anita Ware, Vreni. This plate measures 10 1/2" inches. It is hand-painted in dark brown spirals over an off-white color with yellow trim and a yellow apple in the center. This style was designed by Vreni for the California Pottery, Santa Anita Ware, in early 1950. Inside of the spiral is a beautiful yellow apple. It has three very small glaze rubs on the rim, common to this piece, as per the photos. It is signed on the back, Vreni, Santa Anita Ware, Copywrite. I have researched this piece and have not found even one, (1), for sale, or even an image for example. It is a very scarce item.
